Heritage philanthropy for the modern Livery.

LiveryDraw unites the Companies of the City in a modern fellowship draw — where sponsorship funds education, welfare and heritage, rewarded not with cash, but with experiences worthy of the tradition.

The Initiative

Not a lottery. A living Livery Chest, kept in the old way — for good works.

FellowshipCharityContinuity

For seven centuries the Livery Companies of London have been guardians of charitable giving — maintaining a chest of contributions for widows, orphans and those in need. LiveryDraw is that chest, kept for a new age.

Member companies sponsor the draw at a chosen level. Each sponsorship funds the Livery’s charities and carries a single entry into a transparent, heritage-appropriate draw. There are no cash prizes — only experiences that honour the tradition. This is not gambling; it is benevolence, continued.

How It Works

Three steps, in the tradition of the Chest.

I

Your company sponsors

Choose a level — Legacy, Realm or Heritage. Your sponsorship supports the Livery’s charitable and community work, and honours your company as a supporter.

II

You’re entered into the draw

Every sponsor company is entered into the monthly Fellowship Draw. One company, one entry — an equal chance for all.

III

A winning company is drawn

Drawn on a physical machine, livestreamed and recorded — and rewarded with heritage experiences, never cash.

Courtly Gifts

Rewards of distinction — not prizes of chance.

Each reward is an experience that connects the winner to heritage, craft and the ongoing work of the Company.

The Ancient Livery Chest

Opening the chest once required many keys, held by many hands. Transparency is nothing new to the Livery.

In medieval London, each Company kept a wooden strongbox filled with members’ contributions — a fund for the sick, the widowed and the orphaned. It could only be opened by several officers together, so that no one hand could misuse it.

LiveryDraw keeps that principle. Every draw is public, every reward is heritage, and every contribution sustains the centuries-old duty of the Livery to education, welfare and the betterment of society.
